AMHA, BMHA and DMHA Reorganization Update
Reorganization Town Hall and Vote

The AMHA, BMHA and DMHA have been working through an reorganization agreement and have held 3 Town Hall meetings to give our members an opportunity to become informed, seek clarification and ask questions regarding the reorganization of the 3 organizations to play representative hockey collectively.

One more Town hall has been scheduled for Wednesday April 24th at the Flight Exec Centre(Dorchester Arena) from 7:00 to 9:00pm in the blueline room.

The AMHA members will be asked to Vote on the Reorganization Tuesday April 30th at the EECC upstairs in the Blueline room from 6:30 – 8:00pm.

Every member of AMHA at all levels of hockey is strongly encouraged to vote.

Who can vote?

·        Your child must be registered with AMHA to vote, and you must vote at East Elgin Community Complex on Tuesday April 30th at 6:30 – 8:00pm. No Proxy voting.

·        No member is entitled to no more than 1 vote.

·        A majority yes vote of 67% or greater from all 3 (AMHA, BMHA, DMHA) memberships is required to proceed with the Reorganization.

Tim Hortons
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games.
